McKayla Rose Maroney has retired as an American musician and artist. After living on her property in Topeka for a brief period her mind was haunted by memories of how her parents, two sisters, and brother were excommunicated from their congregation. The Kagans' parents, sisters and brother were members of the church and cut all ties with her.

Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into an ethnically diverse family from South London. She has a father who is Nigerian and Swiss and her mother is English. Her family was raised on a south London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age fourteen. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she earned an acting BA.
