Lita Rossana Ford - also known as Lita Ford - is an American guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter of British descendance. Ford embarked on a solo heavy metal career after the disbandment of her group in 1979. Ford began vocal training followed by her debut album as a solo artist, 'Out For Blood'. This was followed by the release of 'Dancin at the Edge'. The two albums didn't have much success and Ford disappeared from the rock world for a couple of years. It was 1988 when Ford released her groundbreaking success album 'Lita.' Both the song "Kiss me Deadly" and the ballad "Close My Eyes Forever" were big hits. Her success was not long-lasting and she was absent for several years. Her "Black" album was released in 1995, and she followed it with her "Wicked Wonderland" album came out almost 15 years later. in 2016, the most recent album, 'Time Capsule,' was released. Guitar Player Magazine awarded her the award of a Certified Guitar Legend.
