Ashley Madekwe and Ashley Leggat
Madekwe is a British-Nigerian mixed race child was born into an ethnically diverse family from South London. She has a father who is Nigerian and Swiss and her mother is English. Her family was raised on a south London council estate, and went to The Brit School at age fourteen. At the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art is where she earned an acting BA. In her time at the school, she performed in numerous stage plays, including the King Henry V's Princess Katherine as well as Wuthering Heights.
Madekwe began her acting career in the movie Storm Damage. In the following years, she appeared on Teachers, Doctors Casualty and Drop Dead Gorgeous. Madekwe's breakout came with 2007's Woody Allen movie Cassandra's Dream. It was in the role of Colin Farrell (who played the character of Cassandra) and Ewan McGrath. After this success, Madekwe played Elisha on her role on the BBC Three drama pilot West 10 LDN and was featured on six of the episodes Trexx and Flipside. The year 2008 saw her had the opportunity to play the part as Bambi in the ITV2 Drama series Secret Diary of a Call Girl which aired in episodes two and three. Madekwe starred as the lead character for How to Lose Friends And Alienate Others, a comedic comedy made in 2008. The credits on stage for Madekwe are Little Sweet Thing and Flight Path.
Madekwe made her official US debut in the 2009 Drama series The Beautiful Life, which only aired two episodes in the US on The CW before being cancelled. Ashley Davenport was her role in the ABC drama Revenge. After appearing on the show for the first two seasons, the show was announced late May 2013 that Madekwe would leave the show after an appearance as a guest in the premiere episode of the third season. On the show Salem, she played Tituba from 2014 until the year 2016. Madekwe was married to her long-time love, Iddo. They both appeared on Secret Diary of a Call Girl. They have also appeared together in Salem.
Ashley Leggat was born in Hamilton, Ontario, into an extended family of. She was raised by her parents Roy and Patty along with her older brothers: Rob, Brett, and twins Todd and Bram. Ashley's four brothers, who were all extremely athletic, played hockey in the winter months and played baseball in the summer, so they grew up mostly in arenas and baseball parks. Ashley did not have the ability to walk. She was a dancer. When she reached two and a half and a half, she was a part of Baby Ballet. Ashley began to develop a love of dancing when she began Baby Ballet. Ashley was a dancer who competed throughout the various categories until the time she graduated from high school. The competitions she participated in included ballet, tap, jazz as well as pointe and acrobatics. She won the top soloist at each of the main dance contests, including, International Dance Challenge, Showstoppers 5-7-8 Showtime, Flash Dance, and Dance, Dance, Dance among others.
